Pricing / Billing

Frequently asked questions about our pricing / cost model.

How do you charge?

We charge on a simple and pay-as-you go model*.

You pay for each player per hour of usage*.

You will be charged per month for storage in blocks of 1Gb.

If you exceed a gigabyte of storage at any time in the month, you will automatically be charged for the next gigabyte for the whole of that month.

If your player launches and connects to our platform at any time in any given hour you will be charged for the whole hour.

*See our pricing page for more information.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, our free trial gives you 14 days to test your screens and 1Gb of storage for free. You will need to provide a credit card to register but we will not charge until you exceed this limit.

See our pricing page for more information.

Why do my files seem to take up more storage space than expected?

When you upload a file we process it to work out what kind of file it is, how big, how long a video is etc. As a part of this processing we will generate several different versions of the file for use in our interface - thumbnail versions, still frames of the video, icon versions for the sequence editing.

We try to keep these files as to a minimum but unfortunately they are a necessity.

How much storage is available? Is there a limit to the files I can upload? How big can a file be?

You may currently upload a single file of up to 5Gb. Generally files should be kept to under 100Gb for best performance with your player.

There are no limits to the number of files or the total size (yes really!). You will be charged storage charges for any files which you store on our platform. See our pricing page for details.
